For those new to the forum here’s a post I shared showing the images of my heart with this mapping system. We had a lot of fun letting our imaginations run wild and seeing what we could see in the pictures.
Yes this is similar to the 3D imaging used to treat me during my last ablation.
So far so good my QOLVis significantly improved.
Having had 6 earlier ablations using the previous technology I am so glad that with a change of EP and this significant in technology my decision not to give up has so far proved to be a success.
Love this, thank you Kaz! I wasn’t around when you had your ablation or posted your images, so thanks for the video and the link to your post - I’m very glad to find out about it, and see your pictures!
(By the way, I’m very late to the party, I know, but in the two right hand side images, I see a friendly dragon and a Phoenix rising from the ashes 😊) xx
That's fantastic. After my 4th ablation in 2015 my EP said he wouldn't do any more because of the scarring. I wonder if this will change his mind if/when I go back into AF?
My EP was saying the outcomes were greatly improved with this technology and I’m doing okay- that was my 4th ablation. Hopefully I don’t need any more as I’ve had a lot of burning done over the last couple of years.
Sorry, I hadn't read far enough before replying- guess it was fourth time lucky then for you rather than first time but better than seventh! I guess it's what I'll have to go for if the flecainide fails! Hope it's seventh and last for you and that you continue to be AF free!
Interesting. I wonder if Hammersmith hospital uses it as that is likely where I'm going.
Thanks for posting that- it still seems a bit scary but glad it worked for you first time rather than having to wait until the seventh time as reported below!
