Ibuprofen

Only just started taking rivaroxaban and also have taken two doses of ibuprofen. Didn’t realise I shouldn’t. Should I contact anyone or just monitor any symptoms. What should I look for?

I suggest you go talk to your Pharmacist as they are able to look it up and advise you accordingly. Ibuprofen is not advised for anyone with AF period.

Ensure you are having regular blood tests for liver enzymes but your doctor should automatically arrange this for you.

As CDreamer advised, talk with Pharmacist to reassure yourself. Ibuprofen is linked to causing AF so avoid it always. Also it can irritate the stomach and could cause bleeding which is also something to avoid if you are taking Riveroxiban anticoagulation.

Not what you're looking for?
