Just had confirmation that I have a bed for tomorrow (15th August) for my ablation for atrial tachycardia. Of course I have been feeling fine for the last couple of months but now my BP is in orbit and I have the shakes so yes newbies this is quite normal. I now have to catch a train to London, stay in a Travel Lodge tonight (other budget hotels are available) and pitch up at Royal Brompton just as the sparrows are waking up.
With luck and a following wind (sorry about that its called fear) I shall be home Friday evening if my dear wife Sam can find her way by car to collect me.
And anybody who tells me to read the fact sheets--- Flapjack beat you to it..

Good of you to admit to all that Bob! Seriously though, I hope all goes well for you. Did anyone mention resting up?! Ok ,Im going into hiding now . Good luck x
All the best, I guess you will have GA so you will not know much about it, please keep us informed of your recovery, it will be interesting to see if its better than your AF ablation recovery.
All the very best Bob. Hope all goes well. Thought of you this morning when reading the newspapers on BBC news app. The Daily Star was Mrs Slocombe and her pussy. Glad Sam is coming for you ad you are not driving yourself home. Hmm, something rings a bell 🤣. Hope Sam has her nurses uniform out of ready!
Best wishes to you Bob. You will be ok and all will be well. We will be looking forward to your update once you have rested from your fix-up. I am sure Sam has memorized the route by now and will get you home the fastest and safest route possible. 🌺Be well.
Bob..hope you get this on time..sending you very best wishes. Hope all goes well and Missus finds her way ok. Hope the box sets are ready and the remote is set by your chair. Dawn xx
Bob I haven’t circulated very much recently, long story why - but I just had to say that some time ago I believe you recommended me to the Royal Brompton, which I took up, where six months ago I had the AF ablation for PAF, Dr Tom Wong was brilliant and I now tick over at between 62 and 70 bpm - no Afib. - Hope you have the same experience - Best wishes and good luck.
Bob can I just say my thoughts and prayers are with you for a speedy recovery and for a skilful surgeon to perform this procedure: please get back in the driving seat soon we need your expert advise to the many questions and concerns raised.
The best of luck, mate. The success rate for AT ablation is very high at 90%+, a lot higher than for AF, so this should fix it good and proper. I'm glad you're going to London, are you seeing Sabine?
When my hubby went into the Heart Hospital for a similar treatment I elected to go with him. Other went into town and spent a few hours shopping, it took my mind off it! Although he seemed a little concerned about the bank balance!
I had mine in the Brompton 6 weeks ago and they were fantastic. I'm sure you will be looked after superbly. Best wishes for a fast recovery, and get lots of rest.
Sending Prayers all the way from Houston Texas. I just had Tachycardia Ablation June 13th as well... Hoping all goes well and your Dear wife finds her way to collect you
