Overnight fluid retention

Just wondering if anyone else has had this problem. I was diagnosed with HF and AF 9 years ago and recently I have been waking up with bad fluid retention in the abdomen. I am on diuretics and the retention goes down during the day. I was wondering whether it may be because I have a pacemaker and I take 5mg Bisoprolol at night that my heart is slowing down too much when I am asleep to a degree that the fluid is pooling.

There is left and right sided heart failure. With right sided, fluid accumulates in the legs and eventually the abdomen. With left sided its more in the lungs. If your heart failure is getting worse, that may be why you are seeing more fluid at night. You need to let your doctor know whats happening.
