Almost two weeks from my second ablation and no real problems until two weeks ago when I start with missed and extra heartbeats but not rapid beats for which I had the ablations. These recent beats which at first were occasional but now almost permanent, cause me anxiety, tiredness, dizziness and occasional chest pain. Two visits to A and E, who do the usual ECG, blood tests, etc. I am told that I should increase dose of bisoprolol from 2.5 to 5.0. and see my cardiologist. I am also currently taking clopidrogrel, but discontinued taking warfarin after my second ablation on my cardiologists advice. I have been taking the higher dose of bisoprolol but this has no effect. I wonder where I go from here, apart from going to see my cardiologist. This has come as a blow as I thought I was doing ok

That should have read almost two YEARS from my second ablation sorry

Don’t mean to be picky polopblue but your first post a year ago suggests that your last ablation was a year ago not two. Not overly important but some say that heart irregularities can occur during the first year. Unless you have an appointment in place to see your Cardiologist, it might be worth contacting the Arrhythmia Nurse at the hospital where the ablation was carried out. Assuming you have no other heart issues, it might be worth asking about trying a PiP such as Flecainide to see if a regular rhythm can be returned or alternatively a cardioversion.

It’s an issue which most of us fear as I know from my own experience but seek help ASAP and perhaps consider a private appointment if there is a long wait to see your Cardiologist......good luck.
