AF, brilliant!

Hello everybody, had a five minute run of Af yesterday 180 bpm, went back by itself . Was in the hospital as my wife is currently being induced, I’m wondering if this could just be a one off brought on by stress, has anyone else ever had this? I’m booked in to cardiology again in a couple of months, oh well done it before, can do it again, I hope you’re all ok.

How exciting a new baby! I'm sure that probably triggered your heart and I would ignore that little blip. Sometimes it's normal for our hearts to race! Has it arrived yet?

Not yet😬 wife is comfortable at the hospital and they are going to break the waters in the morning. I’m gonna get my head down for an early night.

Sound like a stressful/exciting time - probably the cause. Hope all goes smoothly with the baby and look forward to hearing soon😊

Hope all goes well today. Sounds like you have a tendency for the Vagus Nerve to kick off AF. It may not ever happen again but if I was you I would avoid ratcheting up your lifestyle with more stress and even take steps to decrease it with some positive lifestyle changes as discussed here many times.
