I have never had this until recently the pain radiates through to my back and up to my jaw and only stops when I stop, I had angina 18 years ago and this feels like the same. I will see what my GP has to say tomorrow
I was investigated for angina recently and found not to have it. Are you sure what you have is angina? It seems unlikely that it would go away for 18 years only to return-its usually progressive. I was told that it would often be a fairly central pain and, as is well known, would come on with emotional stress or exertion. Could you have an indigestion pain?
When I say I had angina 18 years ago I had angplasy which cured the problem and have been free of it since then until now .I was at my doctor this morning and he thinks it angina and has referred me to cardiology.
Thanks for your reply
I had bad chest pain with my recent AF attack and I'm happy to see Bob say it's not normal angina. Very sore though! As luck would have it, we were on a break at a fishing lodge with no phone or wifi and the hubby can't be woken, sleeps like a log! So I just lay there feeling sore. Still not sure whether it's a thing to tell the doctor about or not.
Thanks for your reply . I had angina approx 18 years ago
And this is the same feeling ,I've had some pain during AF but not the same as angina. If I were you I would would run it buy your doctor. I will let you know the outcome when I see what my doctor is going to do.
I do get Angina pain with my AF episodes. I have done for the past 20 years. I do not get the pain any other time. It is just as you describe and is very painful. I had an angiogram four years ago and it was confirmed that I have three partly blocked arteries. I still only get the pain when in AF. Maybe you could have another angiogram to see what is happening. I myself think that the stress of the heart when all out of zink cannot get enough oxygen and the arteries cannot supply enough blood to the heart. Just my own thoughts on the matter.
I do sympathise with you because it is an extremely acruciating pain. I just try to relax and do nothing. But when I told the GP he said I should go to A&E if it doesn’t go away after 20 minutes. Do you have a spray because this sometimes gives some relief.
I don't get he pain when in A F I get it when I walk up a slite gradient has only happened in the last few weeks. My Doctor today has now referred me to cardiology thanks for your reply
