Hi folks

I finally get my tooth abcess sorted on Monday morning after such a long wait, plus 3 sets of antibiotics and a visit to A and E with suspected sepsis!

Got my letter a few days ago and it sounds horrible! Cutting through gum, removing root tip and redoing root canal from above!!oooh er.....am following dentists guidance and just leaving off morning apixaban and taking previous evening one a little early

Wish me luck!

It's really not as bad as it sounds, when I was dental nursing we did these a lot in the surgery.

I hope goes well.

Good luck my friend, but fear not, you shouldn’t feel a thing. The painful reputation of root work is a thing of the past.

By tooth-hurty ... I mean 2.30, sorry!! 😉 you should be feeling much better 💐 xx

I had that done on a front tooth, called 'episectomy', it was no trouble at all. It was done many years ago and I still have the tooth!

I had root canal treatment through a crowned tooth back in 2013, apart from being a little uncomfortable due to keeping my mouth open for a long time it was absolutely fine and no pain at all. Been good since and crown and tooth still there!

Good luck. Essential work. I am embarrassed to say I cottoned onto mouth hygiene and its connection with heart and other issues rather late at 60! After AF struck I spent a fortune on root filings, inlays, mercury fillings out (with the right protocol) and other work and now needless to say I floss and brush for England.
