An open message to Irina and Yatsura...

I know we have touched on losing forum members in the past but I am truly sorry that we seem to have lost Irina, who was so interesting and wise and started some threads that were of huge benefit to me, and Yatsura, who always gave kindly, reassuring replies. If you are out there still reading, please come back. You are much missed.

Hi Irene

Irina is still active on here. This is her very popular post of 9 days ago:

healthunlocked.com/afassoci.......

I can understand where you're coming from with your fear that we are losing valuable members who have a lot to give, but at the same time I don't think it wise to put pressure on people that they must keep posting on this forum. People must be free to come and go as they please. After you've been on this site for a long time, you may have heard all that's being discussed time and time again and don't feel like adding your experience with that topic yet again.

How about sending a private message to both of them?

Best wishes.

Jean

Both Yatsura and Irina's names are now hidden or I would have sent a PM as first line of communication. I was concerned responses from other members had caused their disappearance and my post was intended as one of public support—nothing to do with fears.

But thank you!

Oh no, I didn't know that their names had completely disappeared. That's not good and I too hope that when they're ready to, they'll come back and join us.

I can't find Yatsura at all but Irina did say she was thinking of taking a break so I guess she has done that. 🙁

Yes, I looked too and it appears that they've both left the forum. I don't think you can come back under the same name, but perhaps a similar one.😒

Yatsura posted 6 days ago. When you can’t search and find a member, it may be that they are temporarily hidden rather than that they have deleted their account. I too hope that Yatsura posts again soon.

Hi, how do you know that? I went back six days but unless there is a reply there is nothing, not even Hidden.

If I disappear without trace you'll know I've died, otherwise I would tell somebody I was going. This is not the first time someone has 'vanished' and it is upsetting.

I still miss Koll.

Indeed. And PeterWh

I hope we will hear from Irina and Yatsura, but as they are 'Hidden' there is no link to their names.

If you click on Unfollow on a forum you appear as Hidden on that forum and become dormant. However, you get removed completely from everywhere if you go to Close account. You find you can't come back with the same name as it is already taken - by you.

Thanks for that info, I was trying to think of the name of PeterWh to add to Koll.

I guess if people on Health Unlocked are on more than one forum it will be easy to come back to us later. I flit in and out of a thyroid forum, but have to unfollow it as they get so many posts a day.

I want to 'Unfollow' a forum (not this one!). Where do I find the button please?

If you go to the Home Page of the forum (you can select the forum from 'My hub') there are two boxes at the top of the other side of the page. One is 'Following' and the other is 'Write'. If you highlight 'Following', it will change to 'x Unfollow'. Click it and you have left the forum.

Irina’s Avatar has disappeared completely, even from PM threads - we had messaged each other quite a lot & she didn’t say that anyone had upset her however I know she has been taking a course which May have led her in another direction.

Yatsura’s messages haven’t disappeared so I assume she is taking a break - as we all need to sometimes.

All adds to the mystery. Thank you John.

I know she saw someone about new knee early April. Perhaps she’s had it done.
