my story as such!

in 2009 i woke up suddenly at night having problems breathing!

all the while thinking i had "swine flew" so i went to the "walkin center @ dury inn"

tests were done ! they then wanted to contact my GP ,far be it from me to hinder "xyz"

i was then told i needed to go to "hospital" and then asked if i needed an ambulance, i said no i can walk(i got a strange look)!

i was given a "pack" that i had to pass on to the RECEPTION in the EAU , this i did and before very long i was "escorted" to a monitoring station during this time , it seemed that most of the world had an interest in me ,

all i could think about at this time was getting back home for my dog!

but a "young lady" called DR JANE SKINNER was able to restrain me from trying to escape!

at that time "diagnosis was a poor/nackerd mitral valve"

however circa 10 years on ish i sufferd an out of hospital cardiac arest on ,i am told 3 august 2018

i woke up in ward 38 newcastle RVI transferd to ward 50 ccu, then ward 49 , been there before!

then transferd to the "freeman" and from what i know then and now people in this place have megger big problems!

however it seems that at 0800 on sept 10 i had "open heart surgery" to replace the mitral valve!

MR STEPHEN CLARK who i had seen in 2010 said it might be a "repair job" such an op

optomist

any way this from now is a bit of a blur

fully expecting to have so called "pre med"

alas no such thing !

was asked to climb on board this "trolly" which i complied with and was then trundled off to some form of collection area then someone came past and said your going that way!

this was indeed all new to me, so then i was wheeled into the allocated anaeshetic room

after a bit of "fumbling" etc and me thinking how do i get out of this without saying anything"climbing up the walls"

i woke up in intensive care ! i think?

about x hours after the cardio throracic cutter "mr kindawi" had me up walking about

may be just for his ego , but thats not for me to say !

just gets me to wonder! perhaps i might have been better off being left on the floor"down"

after going back to work on phased return and reduced hours

went back to work 3 jan

end up dissmised through " ill health" 28 feb

currently trying my best with "universal credit"

Yup, nasty stuff this swine flu. Good story, a little bit of light relief.

I swear I had horse flu once but no one believed me after a horse coughed all over me at Kelso Races. They initially thought Polio then meningitis and then asked if I had recently been to Africa. They then put it down as a fever of unknown origin and I spent the best part of a month in hospital and was weak for a month afterwards.
