Hello! I had an Ablation for Flutter four and a half weeks ago and since then my pulse has been nice and steady at 60 bpm and the breathlessness had gone. This morning it is suddenly all over the place and I am a bit breathless, but not as bad as it was. I am due to see my doctor tomorrow about the possibility of Pericarditis, but I wondered if anyone else has had this happen so soon after a successful Ablation and does it mean I am back to square one? I would be grateful for any reassurance. Thank you. Liz

Hi Liz
Yes, I had my heart go back into AF after my last ablation, but had a cardioversion a month or so later and although I have had long spells of being in AF since, the attacks have been no where near as debilitating as they used to be. No, you're not back at square 1, it can be quite common to have a few attacks before the heart settles down more.
