I am not back on, no posts coming through.

It is bad timing because I have been rushed in twice in two weeks to A And E then coronary care . First time it was due to a urine infection setting off the Persistent AF into chaos. After a course go anti biotics the heart rate is still much too fast , got taken in again and was told the drugs are not working. Loads of tests , kept in overnight but sent home alone the next evening. The nursing staff were absolutely superb?

However heart rate still banging , even on upped dose od Digoxin . In terror I got an appointment with a lady electrophysiologist , privately. She was lovely , very efficient , but giver of bad news. I. Am now a complete wreck and very upset , I had been doing so well till three weeks ago.!, Christmas I travelled alone to NZ . January I went to Berlin and walked miles!

Now I am too frightened to go out , it is crazy !

Just sent a long post to Dukeboyatnight123, I hope everyone on the forum can see it.

Especially flapjack

I have had an uninterrupted supply of posts but don't always check EVERY day. Maybe your connection was temporarily disrupted.

I don't get posts on email (well yes I do but on Gmail which I don't look at!) I just go to the HU website via Google and there all the posts are!

O that is odd! I’ve been abandoned 🙄

I always got posts on my hotmail account! I have changed nothing!

Think I need to see a lobotomist , had an urgent trip to AE / cardiology, sent from my gp’s surgery. AF had gone wild following a UTI. Terrifying day , after 3 years clear of panic the whole usual process of ecgs ,canulars Beeping machines has completely wiped me out! One doctor told me he thought I was having a heart attack another said something else. They reluctantly let me out at 9 pm. I live alone. The “staff” were absolutely wonderful and so kind. But, you could see the shortages and cut backs.

I always go into brave jolly mode in cardio, I think it is an involuntary way of coping.

However I have frozen ! Heart banging around , probably imaginary chest pains , I think of nothing else , not going out, not telling anyone of my terror because if if any one else simpers and tells me to do mindfulness I will scream.

This is not me I don’t know what to do , 20 yeas ago I had mitral valve surgery , my daughter was only 12, and this episode has brought it all back. It is pathetic! But all my very far flung kids think I am invincible and I am not.

Deep apologies for whinging , I am sure other people are far tougher.

Do hope you receive this so that you don’t feel so alone. Know how you feel, first and only trip to A&E with wild AF after a viral infection. Queue jumped straight through, was told a bed was being prepared in Resus. Obviously no clean sheets so ended up lying in a body bag!!😂😂

O Hilda, horrid experience for you! Memory of nasty things do linger.

I used to be a frequent AE/cardio visitor , stays in hospital etc but it all changed when they stopped beta blockers and put me on Digoxin. I have been SO good for 3 years till 2 weeks ago . That is why I am unravelled.

Hi Lulu, I am sorry you are feeling so bad. I hope you are able to read the messages of support you are getting here. I have found even people who have AF don't want to talk about it but it ranges from inconvenient to terrifying and whatever level you have a kind word or sympathetic shoulder is a huge help. I do suggest you talk to your GP about your panicky feeling and maybe some short term medication might help to unfreeze you? Big hug 💕

Thank you! Trying to get over the fear and the banging around. Don’t know what the GPcould do other than to send me back into hospital .

I did contact Admin of AF but no reply as to where my usual HU are going.

Yes I am here and receiving daily posts!

Lulu, I have replied to your private message and I can see you are concerned that you are are not getting messages when you clearly need support. Please can you try and let us know if you are getting the replies to both messages and posts.

Lulu, I see you have replied to 2 of Buffafly’s responses so I have to assume you are receiving some messages. I have contacted AF Association admin on your behalf to see if there is anything they can do to help you. If any members are able to contact Lulu independently from the forum, perhaps you could let her know.....thanks
