Has anyone had, or know of someone who has had, an ablation for ectopic beats alone?

Have you been offered one ? I haven't even been offered meds let alone ablation.

I have atrial and ventricular ectopics, pauses and horrid symptoms, still told to just live with it ☹️

No I haven't been offered one as such. I would go for it if I were though. I hate them, they dominate my entire life all day every day.

Yep me to and I really hate being told they are normal, harmless, stress related blah blah blah, don't care I just need them gone !

Ectopics are not ablateable I'm afraid or so I have been told. Have you tried the slow deep breathing exercise which helps so many of us.?

Birmingham Hospital has a patient leaflet on ectopic ablation, apparently it's very successful.

I have to tell that, after reading the leaflet, I have a spark of hope of getting rid of them one day. 👏

They told me at Mansfield and Lincoln hospital that they dont offer ablations for ectopics as it is too hard to find them once in surgery?

Even if you have them permanently?

I dont know? Probably easier to spot if you have them all the time? Have they exhausted all medication options?

It was Flecanide that started mine. Then made worse by sotalol. Now I just take bisoprolol for rate control.

I had ectopics on Monday for the 1st time and even tho in Nov I was admitted with a heart rate of 240 this felt much worse. I emailed cardiologist and he sent me for ecg and something else. The technician wasn't happy with results so luckily there was another cardiologist and he told me it was ectopics in my panic i asked if that was treated with ablation he said no had never heard of it being done for ectopics. I emailed my normal cardiologist and he said not to worry as it happens with AF. I hope I never experience that again.

There is a lot of info online that says ablation is done and is successful for ectopics, strange (or maybe not so !) that Cardiologists are saying it isn't available.

I imagine it depends on the cardiologist and the particular hospital you are attending.

Yes they are horrible and I fear and hate them. I always feel, when they are continous, that there's something sinister going on.
