Yes, I do. Been on 2x100mg for nearly 5 years and have no apparent problems. Long may it continue.

Yes I have been on 2 x 50mg for 3.5 years never been out of NSR , so more than happy.

I take Diltiazem as well , found I had to leave 30 minutes between Flec. and taking a calcium channel blocker or I felt nauseous.

Hi there, 26 years. So if it suits people they may as well stay on it. I get the blurred vision but only now and then. But to not have the AF bouts I think it is worth it.

Agreed.

Regarding side effects it is not always easy to prove that the side effect symptoms are definitely associated with the medication concerned.

Important thing is that Flecainide is very effective for controlling AF.

I am no longer on Flecainide after ablation but always felt fine on it and have it as pill in the pocket now.

I've been on flecainide 2x50mg daily for 11yrs with no AF since diagnosis and only a few minor side effects. Hopefully stay that way for as long as I can and not have to have an ablation.

Yes I’m fine on it, it stopped my afib crazy’s so I see it as my savior......

I’m on bisoprolol too and have had blurred vision probs but it could’ve been either tablet.....The opthalmist said my eyes ate fine...so it must occur somewhere behind there.....weird it does it

Unfortunately I was only on flecainide for about 8 months and felt brilliant. So much so I didn’t want an ablation. However followed advice, had the ablation, stopped the flecainide then got my palpitations, ectopic and an attack of Afib. Wished I had stayed on it as felt great. We hear on this forum a few comments that flecainide can cause flutter or another side effect, but I can honestly say it was good for me and many others. However as usual this is only an opinion, we are not medically trained. Good luck and try not to worry.

Hi there, you saying that, last year when I had my annual appointment I was asking them for an ablation to get off,the flecanide because of all remarks. But after being on them for eighteen months now I have changed my mind. I have an echocardiogram this week. I think just to keep an eye on me. But after hearing all the positive opinions I am going to stay as I am.

Fine on it for 5 years. A worry can be that it causes Flutter but just listened to Dr Sanjay Gupta's latest video on the subject and was good to hear he understands if you have no heart abnormalities or co-mobidities the chance of Flutter on Flecainide is only 1 or 2%.

Hi there! Yes I am on Fleconide and Riveroxoban, and have been since my last AF episode, some time ago now. I did have an ablation which worked fine, in 2009 I think. However when it returned a few years later I was deemed to be too old for another! I am 79 now and happy taking the tablets, because I have Fibromyalgia as well,, I need a big pill box!!

I had an ablation for A flutters in August 2018 and had burning pain in my heart?! I was told this is normal (yikes) Here it is February and still pain. Dr. put me on Flecainide and the side effect I had was severe constipation! I'm off of that now. This is like a roller coaster ride.

Could you try adding more vegetable fibre and fluid to your diet maybe? Sunflower seeds are are great source of EFA’s & very good if your digestion can tolerate them. ? if not put them in your redundant coffee grinder & sprinkle on breakfast

For those of you on long term flecainide do any of you still drink alcohol. I’m on pill in the pocket and have gone teetotal and just wondered if the flec still works even if you drink some booze

I have had the odd pint of cider or beer without any problems.

But I would never have more than one - its a risk too far.
