That puts the pathetic snow fall in UK into perspective. Got to love a country that is brought to a standstill by 10mm of snow.

I remember getting snowed in once in Italy when it was so deep the chair lifts were dragging in the snow. Mountains were closed for three days till the piste bashers got it all flattened and dug out the cafes and lift stations. Fourth day we went out and no runs well marked. At one point we stopped to look around and I knocked some snow from a hump in front of me and found it was the chimney of a hut we were standing on.

Gosh chimney? That’s deep! We have over a meter in the terrasse here, had a huge power cut 30 hours till last night, it was getting darn cold even with the fire....I kept saying keep calm think of the heart!! It’s Ben carnage in the roads here with the tourist having no chains or snow tyres....

Just love your photo. Being someone who loves snow, I'm so envious. Don't tell me you have an open log fire too?

Yes fire! Thankfully as we had a 30 hour power cut due to trees and cables down!.....darn cold!

Tonight l'll order my private helicopter to drop me to a nearby chalet, with the fire already lit and lots of food in store. That will be in my dreams - of course! Have a lovely break.

Wow that's what I call snow. You must laugh your docks off at us when it's big news when we get a few days of snow and grind to a halt. Just not prepared for it here which is madness.

Stay put as you say and recover in peace and quiet. Here's to an excellent recovery and af free future in your glorious part of the world. Good luck to hubby too. Wondering if his leg is in plaster through falling in the snow, sounds likely. Best wishes.

Looks wonderful Sue. A great reason not to go anywhere. I hope you and your husband enjoy your enforced rest. We just watched our weather report. We have blue skies, sunshine and temperatures of around 38 degrees C this week 😎 That would certainly melt your snow ❄️ ☃️
