Waiting times for NHS ablation

Does anyone have experience of recent waiting times for ablation at St Bartholomew's Hospital, London?

In truth, no idea but a lot will depend on who is scheduled to perform the procedure and whether they use sedation or a general anaesthetic. The only thing you can do is to contact the cardiology planning team and ask them the question. They will understand that you need to know so that you can plan your life accordingly.

I had 2 ablations in Feb 2018 and Oct 2018 at St Barts and was about 12 weeks wait from EP consultation. Both performed under sedation, one cyro and one RF.

Still a little unsettled but forever hopefull of a positive outcome . X

Hello, I waited about three months for my first ablation in 2016 at Barts but it was under GA and I was classed as urgent. My second one in 2017 was also under GA and I waited about five months p, this was not considered urgent. May be having a third but it’s still to be decided. Good luck with yours. Would agree to contact your consultant s secretary.
