Been doing great since my ablation but bang, yesterday 0400 woke up in AF with major symptoms. Ended up in A&E, Amiodarone infusion and on the Coronary Care Unit. Still in AF this morning, the longest I have experienced. Seeing the Cardiologist later to find out what’s going on.!

PAF after Oblation
Oh no! Let us know how you get on. How long ago was ablation?Best wishes xx
How long so#ince the ablation?. It takes three to six months for things to settle down and this is quite common during that period as we explain in our fact sheet on recovery..
So it will be 5 weeks on Friday since the ablation. I was warned I may experience AF and ectopics but up until yesterday nothing just a steady thumping rythym! What has shocked was how debilitating the symptoms were. Yes I got symptoms but they were much exaggerated. Also my longest AF was 12 hours, as I write I am into 32 hours. Just seen the Cardiologist who has identified Atfial Flutter this AM and not AF but H/R 150 so working to get that down now. Not going home today☹️
Whilst it's normal to get this in the first 3-6 months post ablation you did absolutely the right thing in going in to hospital if you were feeling so ill!
