I did meet an elderly gentleman in a waiting room recently who had had one removed due to infection. He had another one inserted on the right side of his chest. He looked very well. I was interested because I would never want one on my left side because of radiotherapy damage.

Procedure carried out early December and within 5 weeks the new leads also became infected .surgeon advised 99% of patients with infected leads will effectively have infection in any new leads put in even be it on the right side

I had the latest leadless pacemaker fitted via the femular vein which attaches to the right ventrical the size of the pacemaker being about just over 1 inch long and looks like a painkiller capsule. So far so go .

Count me in.
