I live in Italy and have been taking warfarin for a few years now. The last few tests I noticed the nurse at the anti-coagulante centre took one sample and disposed of it and then took another one. I asked her why and she said they'd seen that the blood flowed better for the second one. I'm curious to know whether this is general practice or something new.

Is this for a blood draw or Coagucheck machine.?
On the website coaguchek say discard first drop but the nurses don't at our surgery and OH and I have lived to tell the tale!
