I'm sure most people are aware of the disdain which which I usually greet medical articles or reports from the above but I caught sight of one this morning which I am sure will be familiar. I think the headline was something like Women who Snore at Risk of Heart Problems. It really only stated what most of us know ie that Sleep Apnoea can result in heart problems and that women are more likely to have it than men. What strick my eye is that they acually knew how to spell APNOEA!

And yes if I am getting cynical again I must be feeling a little better.

I would treat any newspaper article with extreme caution, be it medical or a news worthy story, they’re there to sell newspapers, advertising slots and mainly pump out fake news editorially suited to a political party. Many years ago, my diabetic consultant told me that the information I had just told him about some new drug that would bannish daily injections, was completely untrue and distored and said where did I hear about that information, I mentioned from a newspaper article he laughed and said stop wasting your money - that was over 20yrs ago. Yet, to this day, that supposed drug still hasn’t surfaced. I’ve not bought a paper since and I still have daily injections.

Cynicism as a mark of improvement, you may have discovered a new health marker. It is good to hear a metaphorical spring returning to your step. Bottle it and sip daily!

Good wishes to you and Mrs Bob
