It also made me wonder about the statement that scar tissue from a heart attack affecting the hearts ability, and the fact that an ablation (as far as my understanding goes) is essentially creating scars in the heart
This is interesting,thankyou.Yes,that is a major concern of mine, that the scarring process in itself may produce longterm effects,such as stroke from the roughened surface ares attracting potential blood clots,and reduced effectiveness of the hearts pumping. If ablation is essentially to make us feel better throigh reducing Afib and flutter symptoms,I wonder if its worth it.As more is understood about ablation,I can see a time where it is reviewed or done differently,early days in terms of long term effects to be observed,
