About 60 hrs in af and I made an appointment to see my gp at 16.40 today.
At about 15.00 came out of af. Don’t know what I’m going to ask the dr about now?

Pleased to hear that your long episode eventually came to an end. I don’t want dash any hopes you may have about being OK but we have to be realistic and the chances are that you will experience further episodes in the future. Obviously I don’t know what you know about AF but it rarely just goes away. I suggest you ask your GP to refer you preferably to an Electrophysiologist (a Cardiologist who specialises in arrhythmias) so that a treatment plan can be devised that is specific to your needs. However, that will take time so you might find it helpful to find out everything you can about AF that is available on the AF Association webpages, see link below.

Magnesium supplements can be useful but they rarely stop AF on their own. Magnesium Taurate is the one Dr Gupta recommends so I suggest you watch his videos on YouTube to find out more
Thanks flapjack.
I have an appointment to see cardiologist on the 19th of December. I don't think its gone away at all its just nice for the episode to end. I think I need to sort out my diet and what I drink ? I don't think that will stop it but it may help ??
Yes Tommo it will definitely help but hopefully the cardiologist will also arrange for you to have some tests to determine the overall condition of your heart as this will help establish the best route forward for treating your AF.....good luck for the 19th
Thanks for support Flapjack will let you know what happens......
Well I would be discussing speeding up your appointment with a cardiologist, checking your pulse & BP, asking advice and any other questions you have. I can’t remember if you are anti coagulated so if not - that would be my No1 question.
Hope it goes well. Re. Magnesium - it’s not for everyone - I have contraindications for taking Magnesium so check contraindications use with care - it helps many but not everyone. You can get a lot of info on benefits and contraindications from this site

Glad to hear you came out of your long AF episode. Did you experience a fast heart rate or was it just out of rhythm? The most important thing for you is, as CDreamer has mentioned, you need to discuss anti coagulants, if you are not already on them. Many of us have tried lots of different ways to beat this monster, but it often changes its form and evades us. But, there are lots of options for you to discuss with your EP, different drug therapy and procedures often help a lot.
Thanks for your advice Melleray.
I'm apixiban and my heart rate only raises slightly. I see a cardiologist for the 1st time on the 19th of December fingers crossed.......
