Atrial flutter

Atrial fibrillation group was the nearest to my condition of atrial flutter. Hope that I may still get to hear of helpful topics. I have had this for about 4 years and had to have an ablation two years ago. I also had a recording device implanted in my chest eleven months ago for which I was very grateful to the NHS as I am being checked every day and have access to experts whenever I need them. Brilliant.

Welcome. The two conditions often go hand in hand so you are in good company.

Thank you for the welcome. It was interesting that someone is posting about the possibility of getting an implanted recorder via insurance when mine came free. Ask your consultant for it to be done on NHS. Why should someone like me get it and not others?

Many of the people who post on here don't live in the UK. Maybe the person who posted about getting a loop recorder via medical insurance lives in the USA ?

Hi and welcome I had CTI ablation for flutter in April this year so far so good I see EP end of August for 1st follow up!! I have a closed loop simulator duel chamber pacemaker this is my 2nd so im almost 14 years down the road with one. It’s recording all my hearts activity which is really reassuring I shall see what it’s recorded since ablation when I see EP
