Hi I was diagnosed with p AF last year. Recently put on beta blockers had severe reaction put on AF meds allergic and has put me into full AF. Feel very unwell now have fluid in heart and lungs, dreadful wet cough. Having electro cardio version next week. Will I be able to go to work within a couple of days, it’s on Thursday

Presumably you are being treated for fluid in heart and lungs ?

After an electrical cardioversion you normally feel back to normal immediately....and what a lovely feeling that is ! However some may need a further day to feel right. If yours is on a Thursday then you have got the whole weekend.

I always felt great right after but since you can't drive for some time (I think two days but may only be 24 hrs so do check ) maybe leave it a few days.
