Relaxing
Hi Vonnie that sounds lovely I hope it helps you.
I love classical music but have given up listening to music in frustration because I have bad tinnitus so I am listening through a background of buzzing bees. If I listen to 'speech ' on the radio it doesn't annoy me so much .
I have been told that our moods affects us as much as what we do and what we eat. So if thats true whatever helps you to be calm and relaxed is a good thing.
Nothing seems to be working today though
There are days like that I am afraid . My inspiration is a lady I used to meet walking my dogs. She is always smiling and intrested in everyone. Every dog in the park comes to her. She walks with two sticks, list of ailments a mile long . Every days a struggle for her and her secret? She never told me, annoying that!
Wow you could be a millionaire if she had I sometimes think the brain should have a off switch Wish I could control the emotion side
My ailments have taught me to concentrate on what I can do or affect and forget the rest. It seems to work, however still learning it. Started in 2002 no where near an expert yet!
I need to learn how to do that .I tend to think there is something wrong when there isn't Like today I have started losartan instead of ramipril because if cough and itching
We only have so much energy to use and over thinking things can waste it. One of my docs said " everything is conected and can affect your medical condition. The weather, the food, the people your with etc". The medic was full of sayings some even worth while!
Another one was that medicine is a poison with some useful side affects!
Its all true I know So wish I wasn't a worrier
CBT will give you very good coping strategies for combating worry thoughts. You should be able to get a referral from your GP for CBT therapy through the NHS - I got a referral for a CBT Mindfulness 6 week course or 2x2 hours 1:1 sessions.
Someone also mentioned they did an online CBT course which helped worry thought - could have been FutureLearn? great on line courses - all free.
If it works for you - use it! Doesn’t matter really what the app is - as long as it works for you.
