Hello everyone, I have posted on this site regarding my enlarged heart chamber and AFib. I have also said that I am 72 and maybe because of this I have been written off by my cardiologist.
I have read some interesting posts but they seem to come from the USA, I was just wondering if I could read posts from the UK that may help.
I have become more breathless in the last 12 months and if my this continues at the rate it’s going I’ll be in a wheelchair this time next year.
Five and a half years ago I had a liver transplant and my new liver is working well it’s just my AFib that’s a big problem now.
Any advice will be appreciated.

Maybe you need to be more pro-active and seek a second opinion as there are plenty older than you here receiving treatment.
I don’t think age is an issue - my husband is 84 and was considered for treatment for AF but as he is rarely bothered by it and had a pacemaker inserted in 2014 he chose not to take any medications.
And I would say that the contributions tend to be mostly from U.K. although I have noticed a few more from US recently.
