Yes. I do. Like a hot flash sort of. Not everyday, but several times a week. I think it’s the medication (diltiazem HCl extended-release 240mg taken twice a day). Flushing is listed as a side effect.

It's definitely the amiodarone. It happened all the time to me when I was on it and for a while after I stopped taking it. My cardiologist prescribed it, when I mentioned it to my EP he told me it was photosensitivity caused by the amiodarone. It would happen in restaurants and shops with bright strip lighting, my face would feel as if it was burning, was very embarrassing. One of the side effects!

I was on it before having a introversion (which only last two weeks) and for 6 weeks after, was then taken off it because of other side effects with amiodarone intolerant being added to my notes. Was never put on a replacement for it and had an ablation in October which (fingers crossed) seems to have worked. The face flushing lasted for about 3 months after stopping, it actually happened once when seeing my EP!

Yes, I get this if I exert myself at any level, e.g. putting a sheet on the bed, It is the medication although not sure which one as I am on Flecainide, Atenolol, Riveroxiban for AF and Tramadol for arthritis pain. I have to sit with a fan on for ages before it goes down, I get hot flashes due to Menopause, this is not the same, the flashes go down quickly, this hangs around for ages, if I have been walking the dog I look like I am going to burst, it is very embarrassing.

p.s., it was the same on Bisoprolol, not happened when on Sotalol.

I'm fine driving somewhere that's a long distance away, but coming back I just can't help but feel extremely stressed - like a coiled spring (nutcase mode). I feel my face absolutely burning and I guess my blood pressure must be sky high. It makes me feel shattered for days afterwards too. Has only happened a few times, but I now avoid driving too far away. I think it's my mind that causes this, not the tablets I take.
