How long does it take for the bruising in the groin area to heal? Is it normal to feel a little hard lump?

The hard lump you mention is normal. I had the same thing. The discoloration took about 6 weeks to completely go away in my case.
Same as perkman... I had small hard lump but my bruise took about 8 weeks to go.
When I had my ablation in north staffs the likelihood of the hard lump was mentioned in the advice sheet given at discharge.
Very similar- about 6 weeks to heal - the lump faded ver gradually over time as is not unusual- unless it grows. Mine was about the size of a walnut.
Yes Same here, as above, although after 3 rd ablation the nerve in my leg was damaged and couldn’t walk for a week, it healed though with no lasting effects.
I used arnica gel on the bruising and it cleared up much faster - just a couple of weeks.
I've had 3 ablations and each one was different. The first I had a really large area of black/blue bruising which lasted a good 6 - 8 weeks and looked horrible. I didn't think it would ever go but it did. Patience is the key. The second had absolutely no bruising - couldn't have been more different. And the third had just a bit of bruising around the wound which disappeared after about a week. So they all vary but the important thing is that it does go away. I also had a lump under the wound which eventually disappeared as well. Hope that helps to reassure you.
I have one too. Came up a few days after I got home. Mentioned it to GP who had a look and said it was scar tissue and would eventually fade away.
Mine were gone in 2+ weeks.
