Hi my husband had an ablation in October for Afib. It was never constant just now and again. Since his ablation he hasn't had any Afibs again but has had a few episodes of fast heart rate which only lasts one or two hours and he feels ok after. Is this quite common amongst people who have had ablations ?

Raised heart rate is common post ablation Typically around 85/90.
Higher rates could be atrial tachycardia.- typically 140 and steady.
Hi Bob. What’s the difference in them
Sorry not sure I understand the question. Raised heart rate just means that your normal rate is elevated slightly from say 70 to 85/90 but is NSR. Above 100 is considered tachycardia (fast heart rate) but can still be sinus rhythm (not irregular) and can if not exercise induced can be atrial induced or SVT depending one where the signals are coming from. Hope that helps.
