Reassuring when neighbour brings his work home!

Just in case we needed rescuing.... isn’t that kind of him?

He went around all the neighbours to check on everyone in our close and offered to get groceries etc

It certainly is. Us chaps still have our uses occasionally 🙂

Oh how wonderful! There are some very good people around, aren’t there?

It’s wonderful to have good neighbours and yours is especially thoughtful, CD.

I have been known to complain about it before now - not yesterday!

We are blessed to have excellent neighbours who are always there to help. The same neighbours always bring our recycle bins back for us from the top of the hill where we have to put them because the bin men are not allowed to collect from a private drive - evidently they aren’t insured!

Our other neighbour - a nurse at the hospital 9 mile s away hasn’t made it home for 2 days now.

He sounds a really kind person. My neighbour has been round and cleared a path for me to get out of my house. I know I'm an ungrateful wretch, but wanted to do it myself - would have been fun!

I was talking to my daughter on the telephone earlier and I said that I was wondering if any elderly people nearby needed shopping. Her answer was, "That's you now" and after having had this Australian flu for three weeks I can tell you I really do feel old right now!

Thanks so much for the picture and the post. There are so many wonderful people in this world. I don't know why Oyster made the comment about chaps having their uses occasionally! Vivre la difference - let's just appreciate each other whatever sex. Annel

Because he knows me very well and he was joking.

Glad you enjoyed.

Big boys & their toys.....

I know Oyster was only joking but it saddens me that nowadays fellas are put down and I just wanted to put across that you guys are appreciated. It is all about teamwork and mutual admiration for each other's strengths. I couldn't even climb into that "big toy" let alone know how to get it to move!! Annel

Without taking sides here, I think the lady bus driver in Edinburgh deserves a mention. If you haven't seen the video, it is well worth watching. There are several YouTube versions.

Wasn’t she just brilliant! Excellent awareness & reactions. I’d travel on her bus any day!

She gave the event not a lot of thought afterwards until her husband picked her up and told her what he had seen on social media.
