Big thank you to RosieG for organising talk on Ablation at Epsom Hospital last evening. Found it very interesting. Thank you too to Flapjack.
To add to your work will you be sending out a follow up?
Could you let us know the name of the doctor giving the talk.
Many thanks

T’was Dr Julian Jarman who works at the Royal Brompton. The first Wednesday of next month Dr Mark Gallagher an EP from St George’s Hospital will be doing the talk.....it was good seeing you again.....John
Thank you Foxglove and thank you for coming. Dr Jarmen is such a good speaker but I also think his research is great- the way he has compiled a scoring system to work out the likely outcome of ablation success was, I think, really helpful to several people attending. He also touched on some things we've been talking about on the forum recently . It was good to have such a good attendance- nearly out of chairs!!
Do try and come next month (Wed March 7th) as Mark Gallagher from George's will talk about ablation and he has been doing these from the very beginning- very knowledgable doctor.
Re follow up- if anyone is interested I can ask him if we might have the slides showing scoring system mentioned
You are very fortunate to have talks on Ablation in your area. I was wondering if you could share some information on the scoring system you mention with us members of the group as many of us probably live in areas where knowledge of and talks on such topics are non-existent! Thanks.
Yes I will ask Dr Jarman if it’s possible to have the slides. It’s not difficult to start a group if you have a hospital near you and can ask a consultant to be your medical director . I think it helps the cardiology staff if they can tell anxious newly diagnosed- and other- patients that support is available . Epsom hospital let us have a room to use each month.
If anyone wants more details on what’s involved please PM me.
