It has been 2 weeks since ablation. Only had mild chest pain and some palpitations. Chest pain is gone after a couple of days. Followed Bob’s advice to rest and take it easy. 10 days after ablation saw EP and he wants me to exercise so I have been slowly walking for 20 minutes and plan to slowly increase. Still on rythmol, metoprolol, and coumadin. I worry about coming off rythmol and metoprolol because I feel they have prevented PAF but will deal with it when the time comes. One day at a time. Thank you everyone for your support and advice. You are an amazing group❤️

Update—ablation 2 weeks ago
Great news. Just listen to your body. I guess it will be three months before the drugs need to stop . I took a while to wean myself off rhythmol (propafanone) dropping a little at a time because when I went cold turkey it kind of bit me. OK gradually.
Thanks Bob. Right now I take 150 mg every 8 hours. EP wants me to stop at the end of this month. I did not think to ask him if I should wean off of them. Thanks. Will have to call him
We must never advise re drugs but what I did was to gradually reduce 150mg pill every three or four days and then when down to one a day cut that in half etc. Personally I think six weeks is too soon but I'm not a doctor. My EP told me at six months to stop but it took me till eight. Fine ever since.
Thanks Bob. Maybe he decided this because he was unable to get my heart in afib during the ablation so he only ablate aflutter. I did have afib with some of my episodes He told me to call if I have any problems or concerns
BobD I have been giving serious consideration to your suggestion about weaning off Rythmol. I think that is the way to go. Thank you
