I got sent a copy of a letter that has been sent to my doctor from the hospital, and it says my blood pressure is only 96/55. Would this affect my head and make me feel terrible? I have felt terrible since the TIA and told that I have afib on 6th feb this year. The hospital reduced the bisoprolol from 7.5 to 5.0 but I still feel terrible. Keith.

Blood Pressure.
Low blood pressure can make you feel light headed, cause faints when you stand up or dizziness. Drink plenty of water.
Yes, when my BP is at that level I feel woozy and 'empty legged' - very unpleasant. I drink lots of water over the course of a few hours and usually the BP will start to rise.
Hi. We are all different. My blood pressure is often around 85/53 but I feel absolutely fine and my doctor doesnt seem concerned. However it means I will never be able to increase my dose of bisoprolol. I am on a maximum of 2.5. This is not a problem at present as flecanide is keeping AF at bay. If your low blood pressure is making you feel ill, you need to request a change of meds. Could it be the aftermath of the TIA. I felt absutely dreadful for about 6 weeks after mine. Hope you get to the bottom of the problem soon. X
