Those of you that had a recurrence of afib after your ablation did you notice that your afib was different then prior to the procedure???

Afib after ablation
Yes, it was much more affected by change of position. Previously position eg bending down hadnt had any bearing on my A.F. although lying on my left side always brought it on.Also after my ablation I noticed that AF was usually preceded by tachychardia.x
As a rule I would agree with Hidden ...attacks are less intense generally speaking although I have had a couple of real nasties when I thought the end was nigh.....

Yes much slower heart rate and resolves its self
Much milder. Still can't sleep on my left side though
Yes - it is now much less symptomatic and at not nearly high rates but I mucked up the first by doing too much and then my symptoms became much worse and the episodes very frequent.
Since my ablation my episodes have been much milder and much shorter duration.
My husband (age 49) had paroxysmal afib and went ahead and had an ablation to knock it out. However after ablation, it got worse and came more often. Now he is on daily medicine until his phrenic nerve heals and then they will go back in. Not a fun process. We were hoping for success the first time. I'm thinking we set our expectations too high.
I've had two ablations, after my first I was AF free for almost a year then I had two episodes that took a long time to revert back to normal rhythm, even after taking my flecinide.
After my second ablation (Feb 2015) I have had several more episodes but as previously said on this thread they do appear to be a lot milder and on one occasions my AF reverted back without any medication.
Yes. After 2nd ablation I thought I was cured. I wasn't aware of my afib like I was the first time I had it. It's only because I went to hospital for something else and was put on a heart monitor that I found out it had returned.
