i have these beats every day they are annoying and sometimes frightening especially when your sat down and your heart starts racing i was put on Tildiem a year ago it helps but i still get bad days i really think certain things set them off stress and acid reflux doesnt help i have also had for past few months really bad shortness of breath it might be related to heart im going to hospital next wednesday to the heart and lung clinic then so i will know more then all you can do is take every day as it comes and try and cope unless you have gone through this people dont know what it feels like it feels like your going to pass out and die when its extreme it does interfer with your life and in my case it just started from no where but try and keep going else you will end up depressed and thats not good it will get easier you learn to live with it hope this helps x

Hi Moonfairy. Sorry to hear this is really getting you down. You sound very stressed and, of course, that doesn't help what sounds like Atrial Fibrillation, or AFib, as we call it on this blog.

Ventricular fibrillation is a different and far worse situation and means you would have to be on a critical care ward.

Why not write down your concerns as a numbered list and tell your cardiologist about them when you see him or her next week?? Doing this will help you to clarify in your head what your problems are, so you can tell your doctor clearly how you feel.

I went through this for about 3 years, I had to step down from my job where I traveled extensively because I became afraid of passing out driving alone. I had my ablation a year and a half ago and tachy got better but still had ectopics until I went gluten free and no more foods with aspartame or sucralose. I had been drinking a "health" drink daily and found out it had sucralose and had to stop that immediately and now all is calm. Look at your diet. Detox.
