Problems after ablation?

Hi everyone.

I had an ablation 2 years ago when I was 23 to treat my AF, but recently I've been having pain and unusual rhythms.

Has anyone else experienced this, or similar after treatment?

Actual pain or the uncomfortable feeling you get with AF? May be ectopic beats, can you feel the rate and regulatory of your pulse when it happens?

Is there anything that might account for this? Alcohol, weight, stress, lifestyle issues.

could be intense runs of bigeminy or trigeminy beats. Not harmful but ask your GP to get the local hospital to fit you with a Holter monitor for a week to check it out

I had an ablation 14 mths ago and and have been having palpitations ever since. A recent 24hr tape showed superventricular triplet and couplet and PSVTs . I have started taking flexainide 100mg but no change as yet . Still feeling wiped out and shaky especially in the middle of the day. I also take fostair for asthma, says take with caution if you have arrhythmias ! Just want my old life back

After the initial healing period pain is not normal and ANY chest pain needs looking into so please speak to your doctor and get some checks done. It may well be digestive related discomfort and ectopic beats. all quite common but best find out.

Thank you for your suggestions/advice.

I initially thought it was stress related, but now I'm on summer holidays from uni and the pain has become worse I'm not so sure.

I'm seeing the GP next week but was just wondering if anyone had experienced similar!
