I have recently been prescribed Aplxaban 2.5mg twice a day for atrial fibrillation and was wondering if anyone else taking it has suffered any bad side effects?

Yes I have taken it for four years now no dramas at all
I have been taking apixaban for about 8 months. No side effects that I am aware of at all.
Hello Angela welcome. I have been on Apixaban for a a few months and don't think I have any side effects. Something is giving me headaches and hot sweats, I think it quite possibly the beta blockers Nebivolol . The GP said it was not likely to be either (both drugs state headaches in their list of side effects) and the cause could be 'stress' although I have none at the moment. He cut my dose of beta blockers in half which effected my heart rate so I put it up again.
My son has been taking Apixaban for 6 months too following a DVT ,no problems .
I am well aware that all drugs can have side effects some more easily tolerated than others so I am sticking with the meds I am taking now for fear of encountering anything worse.
My headaches are not so bad since I started taking Magnesium Taurate to top up my daily requirement.
I did a lot of research before deciding which NOAC to take and Apixaban came out the best.
Hello Angela and welcome to the forum. I have been taking Apixaban 2 x 5mg for nearly four years and have had no problems with it.
Hi Angela, I have been on Apixaban 5mg twice a day for 2 months and haven't had any problems with it.
I have taken it for a couple of years now, as have many others on this site. I don't have any problem with it although a few people have reported an intolerance. Are you experiencing anything in particular asking a general question.

Hi, i love the fact that I'm protected from having a stroke, but the downside for me is that I'm losing so much hair. Anticoagulants can have this effect for some people, especially ladies.
