have question. Does somebody here has experience with managing Afib and diabetes? Did you suceed by chaging our life style?
I do know that everything is individual and everything should be discussed with MD or other medically competent person. Thank you in advance for your comments or advice.

I think you hit the nail on the head abut individuality of symptoms and also medical advice, and I think all I may be able to add is that all lifestyle factors which affect diabetes are also likely to affect AF.
We know that being at a healthy weight, eating well not smoking or over indulging in booze or anything will assist AF symptoms.
I am sure someone will talk about "triggers" and these are very individual, but for some coffee, stress is a common one or of course worry.
I do recommend that you look for posts by SRMGrandma, she has achieved remarkable changes to her AF (which was very troublesome) using almost entirely lifestyle changes.
I agree that lifestyle changes which affect one condition will also affect the other. It is also important to point out that diabetes if you have AF adds to your stroke risk so you may need to consider anticoagulation if you are not already on such drugs.
Welcome, Arveno! You are asking the milling dollar question! I think many of us, myself included, have had amazing success changing our health with lifestyle changes. I had a major change three years ago which resulted in clear, quantifiable changes in my health with no longer having pre-diabetes, reversing my hypercholesterolemia, and getting off all but one of my medications with a switch to a whole food/plant based diet, increased exercise and better stress management. I've posted lots of descriptions of how this happened. So if you are interested, you can look back through some of them. I've helped diabetic friends with this lifestyle and they have all either gotten back to normal blood glucose, or have significantly decreased their Hbg A1C levels to the point where their docs are incredulous . A Fib can be a great monitor of one's overall health, so when the health improves, the AF episodes often improve significantly too. I am forever grateful to my EP who introduced me to these changes that have enhanced my life. It's great when you find a doc to work with you towards optimum health! Be well!
Many thanks SRMGrandma. I belive that we have to start by change of lifestyle. At May 2016 we staret with LCHF diet which gave quick improvement of blood glucose. But still we have some unexpecter increases of blood glucose in spite of nearly no food intake. Looking forward to read your listed contributions.
Hi Robroy16. We started by trying to improve diabetes by LCHF. Can really recommend that. Did you try in addition to help of MD to manage yourself your diabetes? You can get help even with Apnea but that you have to ask for and/or google on. Wishing you all the best!
