Post Ablation for Paroxysmal AFIB /A Flutter

Well it has been 4 days since my RF ablation for AFIB. The procedure went well. I was under sedation not general anesthesia.

I woke up once during the procedure with a burning pain in my chest and EP told nurse to increase dosage of sedation. Next thing I knew was nurse waking me up to say it was over.

I am having some irregular heart beats in the past 4 days I have had 2 episodes lasting several hours.

I feel okay and hope these episodes calm down. I was hoping for NSR full time as my episodes before ablation were 1-3 weeks apart lasting 3-12 hours.

Well done! It will take up to 6 months for your heart to recover so you will need to be patient to give it the very best chance. You know Bob's mantra "Rest, rest, rest."

This sounds good. The odd bit of irregularity will probably settle.

Well done, all sounds normal. Be patient. Three to six months at least before you get the full benefit so don'tt you dare worry about failure. ,
