I blacked out without warning Sunday evening after going to the toilet, so because I am on Warfarin my husband called an ambulance to be on the safe side. I do not know how long I was "out" on the floor but I came round to see a paramedic looking down on me and asking all those questions you dont know the answer to. So I was taken to A&E checked over head CT scanned, chest and lumber x-rayed, bloods taken. Kept in over night and sent home with a " nothing significant " on discharge letter, but they have upped my Furosemide dose, so now I am going to ring surgery. All I have done is sleep since I got home.

Blacked out without warning.
I had a similar experience whilst at work. Ambulance to A&E where they diagnose AF. Kept in overnight then sent home with instruction to take Baby Aspirin. Not a good plan!
I'll never know why it happened and it has never happened again although the AF has been a problem ever since.
Not very nice for you. At least you've had plenty of tests done now.
My mother in law blacked out in church but instead of waking up to paramedics as youdid...it was the priest giving her the last rites !! ( she lived a few more years )

Thanks for the giggle
A friend of mine passed out three times when out and about. The first time he broke an arm and the next twice fractured his skull. It was only after the third time that he was given a thorough check up and found to have an irregular and very slow heart rate.
He was put on Amiodarone and fitted with a pacemaker.
A TIA might not have shown up on a CT scan.
Since taking Pradaxa and Amlodipine my blood pressure will drop to around 96/66 if I'm unwell, and that can mean that I pass out. That happens particulalrly if I have a urinary tract infection.
I learned I had AFIB after passing out in the kitchen. Lucky I wasn’t hurt in the fall. Lots of anxiety now.
