Left Atrium enlarged

Hi Folks,

I have had 3 ablations the last one six weeks ago, although I am in normal rythm at the moment I still feel tired, it is though my chest is heavy/restricted. Does an enlarged atrium give you symptoms of tiredness? It has been enlarged for several years.

Also does anyone get a heart beat that feels like a muscle in your chest has contracted.

Chris

People always underestimate how long it takes to recover form these procedures Chris. It is very early days yet as I always found it took me three to six months for full recovery.. I doubt for one moment it is the enlarged atrium and as I am sure you will know this could well return to a more normal size now that the AF has been terminated. Not sure what you mean about the beat but most oddities are ectopics I expect.
