Second opinion

I am so happy that I got a second opinion from a well known EP doctor. I have been on Diltiazem for 1 year with few Afib episodes, I have no other medical problems other than Afib. This new EP told me to stop taking Diltiazem, continue a healthy life style and see him in 1 year. He also told me I should start taking an anticoagulant when I turn 75 years old. I feel so much better being off medication!

I’ve been off drugs Completely for six months in the past and felt the best I ever have but when I went for an echo around 6 months my heart was running a tad quick

So I went back on them

I sometimes think drugs don’t help for everyone

Diltiazem is terrible for my lower limbs and water retention / edema

But you have to go with the experts I suppose not everyone is the same I suspect
