Hi I am Brian, Retired, I like to cycle a lot, play bowls ie lawn and carpet. AF is a problem for me because of tiredness.
Just saying Hello.: Hi I am Brian... - Atrial Fibrillati...
Just saying Hello.
Hi Brian,
You don't say what medication you are on- I know people would advise about what has made them feel tired- or perhaps you are in AF all the time and feel tired because of that?
Welcome to the club Brian. Ask anything and we will try to help.
Hello Brian. and welcome to the forum.
AF can make us tired in all degrees of the word! Drugs to control heart rate are notorious for making us feel washed out too.
Are you in AF all the time or do you take drugs to control PAF? Uncontrolled AF absolutely floored me - I have paroxysmal AF - I could barely walk to the bathroom during attacks. Since starting rate and rhythm control drugs I have no AF but am tired with less energy than in my 'former life'.
AF most of the time, still got more test to do yet,
Hello Brian
Welcome to the group! I am newly retired and also tired!! Think its the beta blockers. I like to walk and cycle as much as my AF /energy/stamina allows.
My positive spin is , that I don't have to work anymore, so I just have to go with the periods of tiredness and adapt my day around this......being retired I have the freedom to do that! Trying to carry on working was just becoming too much!
AF sucks, but you too have the "choice"!!
Everyone on here is very helpful and a mine of information!
Best wishes
You don't say what meds you are on but Bisoprolol made me tired, but I didn't think the Adizem and Dronedarone I'm taking did. I thought it was just the AF but my arrythmia nurse said that the tablets were probably making me tired.
Thanks, I am on Bisoprolol but will talk to my GP,
Hi Brian great to meet new people
Thank you.
