Water retention

I'm getting on ok with being put on warfarin because of a DVT and PE on my lung, but my left leg is massively swollen it's obviously something to do with water retention! Does anyone think it's to do with the drug I'm taking please.

Are you on a calcium channel blocker such as diltiezem or amlodopine? I can't take any of those due to swollen legs.

As it is only one leg and you already have a DVT I would suggest get a medical opinion asap just to be safe.

Agree with this

Have you checked this with someone? As only one leg get checked sooner rather than later

Yes but they do have a professional there too and if they don't let me see them I will book for the doctor. Thanks x

Yes they do the dosing. Has you leg swelled up much more since dvt diagnosis? Keep us posted

Have it looked at as a priority. Please don't be fobbed off its far too important an issue.

I agree with those who urge you to seek urgent care. Need to rule out a DVT in that leg.

Just to say a big thanks to all, I went to a doctor yesterday for the PE on my lung, he did lots of different tests including looking at my leg which he said was basically water retention and nothing to worry about. Thanks again.

Thanks I did go to the doctor who sent me to make sure it wasn't another dvt but all was ok! I have to go back to see about water tablets my biggest worry is that I will never be able to leave the house! Due to toilet issues! Thanks
