It could but it could lose its effect too. 1.25 is already low. Trail and error is the way to find out - with discussion with your doctor.

AUBY I have just been told the constant tears I have daily are due to dry eye. (Never thought Bisoprolol could be the cause), I suffered tingling in my hands and feet, asked for Bisoprolol dose to be reduced and the tingling has gone away. I have now asked to change from Bisoprolol as I get really red faced during any small exertion and it doesn't go away for ages and feels like my face will explode. Awaiting word from Cardiologist so will update soon.

Hi Annekw

I'm hoping that I'll be able to reduce the dose , because at the moment, the side effects are getting me down.

Thanks for your input

My dose was lowered to 1.25 from 2.50 and coupled with taking it early evening the side effects are much reduced.

Hi Irene

I'm taking my Bisoprolol at 9.30 pm

Do you mind if I ask what side effects were you experiencing.?

Thanks

Lynne

i became out-of-breath very easily, even when walking on a slight incline, or on a flight of stairs. I was also what my husband said 'very unhappy'! So I think initially Bisoprolol made me feel quite low. But I am fine now, on the lower dose.

Hi Ikclebud,

How are you copying with the dry eye?

I have had this very unpleasant condition for the last 7 weeks.

GP has not diagnosed it and has been unwilling to believe that Bisoprolol is responsible for it ( despite it being listed as a known side effect), therefore it has gone untreated for the 7 weeks

In desperation I made an appointment with my optician as I was terrified of what was going on in my eyes. Had thorough examination and was told that I had dry eye and Blepharitis.. At last a diagnosis!

Have been given drops and cleansing lotion and treatment instructions..This was on Thursday 9th , so a little early to tell if the treatment is working.

Hope this info is some use to you

Also have some tingling pain in legs!,

Regards Auby

I had my dose reduced from 3.75 to 2.50 and I felt so much better, my digestive problems settled, I felt much more relaxed in myself, muscle spasms stopped, my dry eyes and infections eased, my hand and feet tingling eased, a scalp rash vanished and my energy levels went up. Just shows how many side effects these drugs can have on certain people.

Thanks Irene,

That's just how I've been feeling, like you very sad and unhappy( probably depressed )!l

Also Iike you am unable to climb a short flight of stairs!, this really brought it home to me

Hoping to reduce my dose to 1.25 in the near future,

Thanks for sharing your experiences

AUBY
