Hello I am ken a Devon chap of 67 summers, aortic valve and root replacement 21 years ago, ablation 2010 for AF and svt 3 more ablations all done in 2016 great way to spend a year and a long distance cyclist to boot not so much distance at the moment

What is a root replacement? You're lucky (or unlucky as the case may be) get 3 ablations in one year. I eventually saw an EP last week after 3 years of AF and never seeing any specialists. I now have to wait 9 months for an ablation. I live in Newcastle... Maybe I should move to Devon! Hope the last ablation has worked for you.

Don't bother. CCG limits ablation down here with an iron fist. Welcome Lorate to our happy band . Maybe come to one of our lunches but not on your bike.

Hello root replacement is where the descending aorta a major blood has become dilated to the point of Imminent rupture is removed from the heart and in my case a 32 mm Titanium aortic valve plus an 8 inch tube of Dacron is sewn first to the heart then to what's a good section of the aorta that's left hopeful this answers your question last ablation 11 weeks ago now
