Getting cortisone shot

Hi

I need to get a cortisone shot in my hip for mild bursitis. Do you know if that would be bad for my heart and AF? My EP said it was ok when I got one in my knee two weeks ago but I am having my first ablation in 9 days.

I cant answer about the effect with an ablation but I have had spinal steroid injections over the last two years while in PAF and they had no impact on my AF , also my Dr was not concerned about me having them. As far as I know I am allowed three steroid injections a year before side effects become a consideration.

Sorry I have only just seen you question. I have had cortisone shot in my knee 3 months ago and I am having another this week on my thumbs half in each thumb. My GP said they were safe as long as I only had 1 at a time with 3 months in between and I was only allowed 3 in a year with 6 months break.
