bushy2016 , hi, yes I have both but still have heart failure as well.

I'm on Atorvastatin, Apixaban, Bisoprol, Digoxin, Ramipril, Furosemide, all quite high doses. I'm waiting for a dye test and am having a device connected this week to record my heart rate for 24 hours.

Went privately for 4 years to a cardiologist who is also qualified to check the "electrics" and he did very little apart from two unsuccessful cardio versions , but was taken into Coronary care in August and the NHS did more tests and gave me more info in ten days than I had previously had so I'm sticking with them in the meantime.

Have you any particular concerns? I was so shocked by my diagnosis that I spent most of a subsequent appoint with the heart failure nurs crying on her shoulder! 😩

Just what do I expect now?

I don't know. I keep asking things like expected prognosis and get very vague answers. No one seems to want to give me a straight answer. They almost avoid the question which is more scary to me than the brutal truth. (Or maybe not!)

BHF produce excellent downloadable booklets on all heart conditions, worth a look. I have mild HF and a slight leaky valve so I get their online magazine which includes the latest research, personal stories and comments on medical stories which have appeared in the media.
