Having recently experienced very distressing ectopics, which felt like all day every day, I watched Dr. Guptas video on breathing exercises and have been putting them into practise with really good results. I truly felt awful and scared and so I am so grateful for his advice and I would say to anyone having problems with ectopics to watch them it might just help, and thanks to Dr.Gupta for the videos. I know that the ectopics I get are stress related. Best wishes Kath

Thank you for posting this Steve - Dr Gupta is such a helpful human being with a real drive to understand and communicate his knowledge. I too have benefitted enormously from his breathing advice in stopping runs of ectopics. Perhaps we should all move to York. 😌

I always find watching Dr Gupta quite soothing in and of itself, he seems such a nice guy! I was saying to my ep that i just ignore these, but back when i was freaked out i couldn't - every little thing with my heart was something to be feared, a potential precursor to an attack.

It reminds me of my tinnitus - i once read of a guy who was driven by his tinnitus to smash his head through a window, and i used to be driven insane by mine, it took years before it faded into the background, it's still there, but i hardly notice it now. Same with ectopics, i just refuse to pay attention to them. I attribute this to not being in the heightened state of anxiety that i was before. apart from coming off the meds i did a ton of stuff to calm my system down including watching the breath - but yet again must pass on that playing a slow steady heartbeat became my go to - it really helped me. I'd say to anyone to do anything that calms you down - keep searching out new ways so you have a lot of different things - it can help you feel pro-active if you have things to do to distract you from feeling stressed - and who knows - you might find something that helps! At least you tried!
