Hi Buddje,

I've been following the 5:2 diet to lose a bit of weight and it's the first diet that has worked for me. I hated the thought of the "2" days but actually they're not too bad. Typical for me would be a boiled egg breakfast, 1/2 carton of tomato soup lunch and then salmon stir fry with lots of veg in the evening. It means that choc fudge cake still features on a 5 day and I don't feel I've given anything up. After a heavy weekend I even look forward to my Monday 2 day!

As with any diet, check with your GP first.

Sounds excellent! I tend to use juices on my 2 days as they take longer to "eat" so it helps to avoid the hunger pangs.

One thing - watch how much sugar you get via fruit and sweet veg (carrots, beetroot) as they can be deceptive!
